The Director of the Center for Nuclear Security Support participated in a meeting of the IAEA International Network of Nuclear Security Support Centres.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetoslav Spasov, Director of the Center for Nuclear Security Support at UNWE, participated in the meeting of the International Network of Nuclear Security Support Centres (NSSC Network), organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The meeting was held from January 20–23, 2025, at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
Assoc. Prof. Spasov was appointed as supervisor and editor of the NSSC Network newsletter. This position recognizes the expertise and contribution of the Center to international efforts in strengthening nuclear security.
The meeting program included a series of discussions and working groups, covering topics such as a review of NSSC information tools, the role of NSSCs in human resource development, and guidelines for collaboration and promotion of NSSC activities. A key focus was placed on the development of training materials and the improvement of information-sharing mechanisms among member states.
