Program History

The International Master’s Program in Nuclear Security was launched in early January 2016 with the active support of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna and the Bulgarian government.

The aim of the program is to prepare highly qualified managerial professionals for the nuclear security sector. It offers an interdisciplinary approach that combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills necessary for the effective management of nuclear risk. The training is oriented toward real-world case studies and international standards, ensuring preparation that meets the highest requirements in the field.
